Hit Shaped Golf Shots

It is vital to have a clear idea of the method involved when trying to hit shaped golf shots.

Keep in mind that it is much easier to shape a shot, either draw or fade with straighter faced clubs, as more spin is imparted.

However it is easier to fade with a short iron because the shorter length of club gives a more upright swing, than it is to draw a ball with the same club.

It is also easier to produce hook spin with a longer club due to the flatter swing plane.

Always remember when deciding on the type of shot required that a short club gives an upright swing and a long club a flatter swing. It can have influence on club selection for a particular shot shape.
