From January 1st 2008 a change in the rules of golf allow driver heads to have removable shaft adaptors fitted. This means that golfers will be able to buy a driver head complete with easy fit adaptors into which different types of shafts can be fitted and then screwed back into the head.

This type of head allows the golfer to try out different shafts that can give different ball flights. For instance if it is a very windy day you could insert a shaft with a stiffer tip that will make the ball fly lower and to give more control.
